“Madd Maxx” was born in San Francisco, California on October 25, 1982 to Maxuman L. Chenier & Debbie Simon. Madd Maxx grew up in the home of his grandparents, Max & Ray both Louisiana natives rich in the tradition of Louisiana music. Madd Maxx showed an affinity for music from an early age, he was commonly seen in diapers singing and performing. As Madd Maxx grew older, he played the saxophone and the keyboard. Although Max grew up listening to a variety of music (Zydeco, Blues, R&B, Rap, Hip-Hop, etc.) Max loved Rap and Hip-Hop the first time he heard it as a young child. At age 12, he began writing Hip-Hop lyrics and by the age of 15, he formed a group then known as The Federation. The Federation produced three songs: It’s kind of dangerous living in Cali, Reaching for the sky and Young n*ggas.

By age 16, Maxx blossomed into a solo artist. He became known as “Moet the Mercinary” and embarked upon a mission to record as many tracks and to collaborate on as many projects as he could! During that time, he recorded relentlessly on the Karaoke machine for several years and began formally recording in recording studios at the age of 18. After which, he changed his recording artist name to Madd Maxx and is now releasing his DEBUT CD: “Omillians Dream” which is scheduled to be released for distribution this year. Omillian’s Dream sets the tone for many albums to come. The CD is a collection of 14 songs and is a perfect mix of socially conscious lyrics and contemporary Hip-Hop sounds. He tempers the lyrics with several party songs which reflect his dedication to the Bay Area Hyphy movement. Maxx’s lyrics are atestament to California life and the Bay Area. He also describes the good and the dark side of living in the “City by the Bay.” Madd Maxx is a natural born story teller and has something interesting to say in every song. He has a distinctive voice that penetrates the soul and allows the listener to visualize the lyrics. Madd Maxx is a new and exciting Bay Area Hip-Hop and Rap artist from San Francisco California. Look out world, Madd Maxx has arrived!
