Album Notes

An influential music producer and DJ of LA's electro scene, Madd Mike writes and produces dancey electro songs that had cross-genre appeal, including the top-bands Indy 500, The Fluffer, Punk Bunny, Suzie Homewrecker, Emily (now the lead singer for Go Betty Go), and Kinkbot. Madd Mike has also done many collaborations with artists as Electrosexual, Doktor Van Break, Le Mans, Punk Bunny, CPUFunk_RZ, Potro Colt and many many others and sharing the stage with groups like Pastilla, Dramarama, Mynx, 8-Bit, Barbeau from (Dirty Sanchez), Jean Paul Yamamoto, Tender Box and many more. He became known as something of an eccentric genius: he dressed in white creepers and his red dress shirt and black tie and was so multitalented that on most of his songs he played all the instruments himself. His reputation for independent thinking was reinforced in the late 90s, when he changed his styles and continues to write and perform. If that's not enough, Independent local radio stations have rotated his music Non-stop, as well as top djs from across the world. Madd Mike's music has been reviewed by several Magazines and tons fanzines. From L.A. to France!

It’s becoming more and more difficult to find anything original and refreshing in Los Angeles. Movies, music – hell – even your girlfriend’s breasts. So there we go punching at the dials on our radio and cursing the airwaves… “what ever happened to the good shit?!?” Well here it is. The Madd Mike empire spits out electro-retro-raunch like you wouldn’t imagine. Sending a rush of bumping and grinding to your head, to your toes, to your most private possessions. It’s all those rapid heart beat beats you remember and wish you heard again… only better. Way better. So you’re thinking, “aw crap, another bubble-gum cotton candy-ass electro CD.” Well shove that cotton candy up a raver’s glowstick… you’re in for a surprise. The Madd Mike CD offers a gut-blowing variety of anything you could ever want. Most featured artists on this CD already have a cult-following in the Los Angeles are (like the Fluffer’s own Fluffettes) and it’s about time they have a cult following in your collection. Some of the more impressive and catchy tracks are Madd Mike’s own “Shake Your Ass” and the cult favorite Indy 500’s “Dirty Girls” both of which should have you up and molesting a dancer’s pole. And if you’re not… you’re probably dead. Other favorites include Suzie Homewrecker’s “Disco Whore” and Emily’s “Gone” both a combination of electro-goth sounds with beautifully emphasized by the girls’ seductive vocals. And if you’re feeling a little kinky, turn up any Punk Bunny track and you’re on your way to Alice’s little wonderland complete with fishnets and six-inch heels. Bottom line, whatever it is you’re looking for in your journey through the electro world, this CD has. If you have a chance to check out any of the Madd Mike artists live, it’ll be an added treat. This CD is especially great for those of you newbies who are looking to experiment a little… so go ahead and pop it in ….just remember, always wear protection.
