HERE IT IS!! The NEW Holiday CD from MADHOUSE!! This is JUST the thing you need to REALLY make the season bright! This is a collection of five newly recorded holiday songs we think you are gonna LOVE! It includes two original Christmas tunes...a rerecorded updated kick butt version of the previously released "Single Bells" as well as a new tune called "Christmastime". Joining them on the CD are versions of "O Little Town of Bethlehem" and "Santa Claus is Comin' to Town" performed "a la MADHOUSE!" The disc ends with a reworked nutty version of the old classic "The 12 Days of Christmas" called "The 12 Drunks of Christmas". This CD was recorded "live" (well...mostly) at Phat Planet Studios in November 2004 with a hoarde of wacky (drunk) MADHOUSE fans in attendance at the studio. You will feel like you were "at the party" when you hear this disc! (except YOU won't have a hangover the next morning like they all did!) It is JUST the right mix of fun and sentiment to make this your new favorite holiday CD!
But who the heck is MADHOUSE anyway? MADHOUSE is an Orlando based original rock/pop band. If we had to sum up what kind of music it is, we would have to say FUN! An upbeat pop vibe with thoughtful and oftentimes tongue in cheek lyrics would also accurately describe the kind of music MADHOUSE is known for. A mixture of rock, folk, swing and other styles come together in a clever and energy filled way that will draw you in from the first bar and keep you there! Groups like Barenaked Ladies, The Beatles,They Might Be Giants, Crowded House and Elvis Costello have been influences on the band since the beginning.

Great stuff!
author: Tony ExclusaI laughed out loud to "The 12 Drunks of Christmas", while I can identify with "Single Bells", it's also a touching,infectious song! Can't get it out of my head!

"O Little Town of Bethlehem" and "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" surprised me with the clever way these otherwise stale Christmas standards were arranged, as "Bethlehem" started traditional--then BAM!--finishes bossa nova/cha-cha! Then "Santa Claus" boogies with some zydeco/James Brown funk to it! "Twelve Drunks" is a fun song too, sounds like the singers "rehearsed" before "wassailing" the studio! The originals have beautiful melodies and great lyrics that have a sharp edge and a lot of heart. Both could be national favorites if everyone could have a chance to hear them. Everyone I've played this CD to loves it, from loaning it out to playing it at parties. I would recommend this CD to anyone who's looking for original...BETTER music than the usual awful drivel of vanity holiday music from overexposed singers that comes out this time of year.
