Album Notes

Born in a small town in North Alabama, music has always played a huge role in my life. As a little girl, southern gospel and classic country continuously filled our home. Even though musical influences were all around me, I had no idea I could sing until a high school chorus class. I have been singing ever since!

I have been influenced musically by both current and past entertainers. Martina McBride, Norah Jones and Michael Buble all have distinct styles and voices with hints of past music. Patsy Cline and Elvis Presley are two of the greatest vocal legends. Patsy’s soothing voice and effortless range push me to become a better vocalist. I especially favor classic love songs, and she was one of the best at delivering them.

Being able to hear the lyrics and the music is the key to appreciating a song. This combination has the ability to create a window into people’s souls. Songs can reach out and touch their hearts. There is a song for every up and down, every tear or smile. These abilities to create emotion are why I am so passionate about music. “Madison Avenue” is my first endeavor as a professional entertainer. It was created with excitement and passion. I hope you enjoy wandering down this street with me.
