Album Notes

What is Madlife? Madlife is As Harsh As The World We Live In. Madlife is what everything else isn't- cool. There is no whining in this band's audio assault. Inside Madlife you will find powerful vocals, aggressive guitars, and industrial sounding technology.

In 2002, Madlife released their debut album. It was produced by the highly respected Stoker (Ice Cube, Sting). The chemistry was so intense between Madlife and Stoker they decided to do a full collaboration in creating the second album "Music As Harsh As The World We Live In" Several singles were played on radio stations across North America. Madlife is currently finishing up their highly anticipated third album "Angry Sonnets for the Soul" due out in 2009. The "Angry Sonnets Tour" is slated for spring/summer 2009. Until then, Madlife will continue to captivate people with their powerful live shows. Madlife has been able to play with such bands as Prong, LBC and of course their good friends and partners in crime Rivethead.

A Good Band with a Funny Voice.

When I listen to the vocalist, I can't help but imagine the band as a group of goblins, playing instruments and messing around with various machines and gadgets. I say that lovingly though, because is voice does adds to the music, and doesn't take anything away.

You ever sit in a tattoo shop and listen to the hard tunes pumping through the pipes while you're under the machine? This is it! Great metal music. It's rare to find a CD where I actually like every song, and I can chalk this up as one of the few!

I must admit...

...I've only heard the demo versions, available off of the website, and personally 6 songs is not worth it. But I assure you, if it were atleast 10 songs, I wouldn't have flinched at the thought of odering this CD. The demo version is quite possibly the most entertaining album I have heard on this website. Many of their influences are ranked atop my top-ten list of favorite bands, and this band could quite possibly join them if they release more material, and get on out there. Popularity is not an issue, but availablity is, and as I stated before, most people wouldn't pay 12 dollars for 6 songs; more content would bring more sales.
