Album Notes

Hello, this is Maggie Mae and I've just recorded my first CD called "COOKING UP COUNTRY". I live in Oxford, Wisconsin and have a nice little restaurant called Maggie Mae's Café. It is a unique place to eat because you can get a song with your meal (even at 7am). In August of 2002 I became interested in learning to play the guitar, mainly because a customer brought his in one day and played, the customers cheered and I knew I had to get one. So I bought my first guitar, taught myself to chord and to my amazement......I could sing!!! I have been singing ever since. I am fortunate to have such a "captive" audience, well at least until they are done eating. I have also formed a band, Maggie Mae & The Country Plus and am very fortunate to be playing and entertaining people. I would have never guessed 2 years ago I would be doing this.
In October of 2003 I decided to have a CD recorded and have been so happy with how it turned out. I always get feedback on how much people are enjoying this CD. It has some of my favorite country songs on it and I look forward to producing another one soon. I hope that if you end up with one of my CD's you will contact me at: magimae@maqs.net
THANK YOU AND HAPPY SINGING, Maggie Mae
