ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Welcome to the Official Maggie Mayall CDBABY Page. This is the place where you can purchase my new CD anthology, called "dig this".
This anthology is a collection of recordings that covers my career from 1986 to 2001.

In 1986, I started an ALL-WOMAN blues band called Maggie Mayall & The Cadillacs, which featured Debbie Davies on guitar. We were only together for 2 years and never released an album, but we were the REAL THING and we were hot! We were like a cross between The Fabulous Thunderbirds and The Stray Cats.

I went on to pursue my own career and later joined a Rock Musical-Comedy group called The Housewives (1988).

I took a long hiatus from my own singing career, almost 10 years, to pursue my Master's degree, raise a second child, and work for my husband, blues great John Mayall. I designed and manage his website, run his merchandise business, write songs and produce for him. We inspire each other! I am also working on a book.

But I'm getting the itch to sing again!

So first, I decided to go back and finish what had been started: I started an archeological DIG, into all the recordings I had made over the years. First order of business: Give the world Maggie Mayall & The Cadillacs, because the world needs to hear this. I follow up The Cadillacs with some of my own songs, some great covers of some classics, add a little Housewives, and finish it off with a jazz jam!

The album release date was June 13th, 2006, released by our own label, Private Stash Records.

I hope you can "dig this"!

Remarkable; Sensational; Bee-Yoo-Tee-ful !!!!!!!
This spectacular disc is original enough to sound eerily familiar at first listen. It's not at all surprising that this album rocks, but HOTDAMN!!! It also swings... Not to be missed!! Musically touching moments occur in virtually every cut. And do musical contributions from Debbie Davies, several past and present Bluesbreakers and Maggie's ultra-famous husband, blues legend John Mayall, hurt at all? Heckfire...NO-o-o!!!

Sound like us!
Thanks for the Cadillac stuff!

great delivery, good lyrics, wonderful arrangements
This takes me back. Back to where music ought to be. It's hard to listen to it in the car because it makes me want to dance. Good stuff.
