Album Notes

Magnacult is a musical conduit for a great and strong universal being called Magna, which holds the ultimate power of wisdom, tolerance, love, compassion and peace.
However Magna also possesses the force of pure aggression (Synoré). Aggression that stems from insecurity,
powerlessness and illness we call false aggression.

Synoré shall be implemented against those who are in touch
with any form of Magna, but reject its goals to pursue a path of personal power, greed and evil as well as those who are threatening and destructive to the universe.

Magnacult was formed early 2005 and decided,
from the start, to show their cult to the world
with the release of a full length album.

Musically the members are influenced by many different bands ranging from modern metal to death metal and beyond.
They always like to challenge themselves in what they do,
pushing the limits every day again. Coming up with weird beats, but still keeping the groove in their songs. That was what they were aiming for while writing material for Synoré.

So with Tom and D. thrashing their guitars, bassist Spit delivering the low-end frequencies, overwhelming drum-rolls pounded by drummer Bionic and the brutal, melodic and in-your-face voice of Sebastiaan, this band will make their mark and is sure to be noticed in the music scene.

BE PREPARED...MagnaCult’s debut album Synoré is going to blow you away!

Debut Album Synoré, released June 2007 Rusty Cage Records

Review By Buzzin Hornet. Magnacult is a Dutch band with experienced members. The name Magnacult comes from the word Magna which holds the ultimate power of wisdom, tolerance, love, compassion and peace. The title of their debut album Synoré stands for pure aggression which shall be implemented against those who are in touch with any form of Magna, but reject its goals to pursue a path of personal power, greed and evil as well as those who are the threatening and destructive to the universe. My first reaction? I am dealing with a concept band. And often these bands know what they want and deliver high quality products. Synoré is a very powerful, complex and refreshing metal album. The experience these guys got from former or other bands clearly reflects on the product which has been released right now. Complex riffs, brutal vocals and a technical drummer all combined into ten tracks. They wanted to shock the metal community with their sound and hopefully a lot of people would come to see them. For a Dutch band they managed to create a very good product which got potential. On the album you can find a mix of death metal, math core and melodic metal. Songs like Inside Will Guide got a Textures like sound which has been reformed into a more brutal form. The screaming vocals remind me of Blind Myself (HU) and the melody contains a pinch of hardcore every now and then. But the beauty of this disc is that the album sounds complete. The music has been produced in a rough, but tight way by Jochem Jacobs (Textures). The energy which comes out of this music starts when you press play and ends when the music stops. The last year I have found some great new bands in the Dutch metal scene. Magnacult can be added to the list of new talent. For me one of the best Dutch releases this year and I hope to hear more of these guys in the near future. It is an instant 'headbanger'! The band will be on tour with The New Dominion which results in a great package.
