Album Notes

Four part Harmony and Four sisters!

Tradition meets flair as Maidens IV takes the stage! Life for these Justice Sisters is a performance in personality.

Since their early childhood Havilah, Heather, Abigail and Tabitha have been active performers.
In 2003 Havilah and Heather branched out from the family quartet to create the Maidens band. Two years later Abigail joined the engaging duo adding the alto sounds of her viola. In 2006 youngest sister Tabitha, brought a vibrant change to the band with her driving rhythms and sensitive acoustic guitar! A new dimension to Celtic music sparks to existence as these lovely ladies whirl into the Irish sphere. The Maiden's original compositions and unique arranging gives their sound a distinctive fire!

Kindling a new style and genre as Maidens IV, the band now fans the flame of Celtic & Folk music!
Asked to return wherever they go, these angels of the Ohio heartland ignite the gala joy in children yet rock a solid thrill in teens and adults alike!

Crystalline

I heard these girls last night. While they were warming up I new I had to buy their cds. Even though much of the music is original it is timeless and pure. Their voices are crystalline. When they sang it was like you were being led up and down on a crystal staircase. It reminded me of Annie Haslam of Renaissance. The performance with the instruments was... superb? excellent? mere words. To label them an Irish, Celtic group is a misnomer. They transcend those titles.

Consistent!

One of the things that impressed me right-off when I listened to this album was the consistency of the music. There really aren't any completely off tracks. I was quite surprised by the sophistication and the technical skill of the musicians. If you're a fan of Celtic and Folk music, or even classical music, I would recommend this album.

Not five minutes ago, I ordered Emerald Fire so I can not comment directly on that one yet. However, if it is anything like the previous two CDs (Four Aflame and Charm & Fire), it will be wonderful. Simply the fact that the Maidens IV released another CD made my day.
