Mair is a vocalist and harpist who performs at a historic hotel in Old Town State Park in San Diego. Trying to convey the feeling of early San Diego led Mair to this collection of songs. When she plays on the Hotel porch as tourists walk by, she found certain songs that stopped people of all ages from all countries. This short collection of songs are her "biggest hits of 1874".California's eclectic heritage is blended into one positive energy that is how Mair views the world. Alternating between dreamily reminiscent and "can't sit still" dance tunes, this happy CD with a good message will be one that multiple generations can listen to together. Mair's is back at her typical style of using atypical pieces for the harp. The "Loose Canon" featured here is her own version of Pachelbel's Canon in D.... very loosely interpreted!
