Minnie Ripperton's music used to remind me of rivers flowing, sunny daze, children laughing, running free, and Joy. I was that child along with my community. Had to have us some Ripperton! That's who I hear when I listen to this CD. And, thatz what I feel/relive! Oh! Yes!! The many songs of Minnie.

Mala's music is from the heart. It is good for the heart. Her smooth blending of stylistic elements and the tight band unit is sublime. Mala's songs come from a good place, the album is an emotional ride. This is certainly a must have disk.

Too many good things to say about this album. If you love high quality soul - jazz in the vein of Liberty Silver, Khani Cole, Marylin Scott etc then this CD is a must for you. Track 2 is a KILLER. You need it for this song alone. Trust me, this is a MUST. See website for full review.

If you want to feel good, listen to Always There by Mala Waldron. Her songs are a beautiful blend of Jazz and R&b that will fill you with the spirit. Mala's voice is heavenly and she plays it as an instrument. The band is great also....Steve Salerno is a top notch guitarist! You can't go wrong with this CD!
