"Mana ERG is, essentially, the music of Bruno De Angelis. While defying any convenient categories, Mana ERG's music has elements of electronic ambience, muted industrial soundscapes, and the tripped-out lyrical abyss reminiscent of the Legendary Pink Dots. The six tracks run slightly over twenty-six minutes, so this is not a CD jam-packed with music. However, where the quantity might be lacking, the quality of the music is certainly more than compensatory. The songs on "Borderliners" are richly textured and well conceived, and are completely devoid of catchy hooks and melodious intent. This is a CD built perfectly for headphones, as the album's intimacy offers the listener safe passage upon entering the convoluted labyrinth of sound. A strong track such as "Painted Faces" highlights this collection of challenging, yet engaging, music."

"...The songs are carefully paced, wonderful arrangements that really pull you into the mood of every individual track, each executed with a wide breadth of sounds, with some very tasteful use of driving guitars at times and a series of trance-type beats at others. "Alicante", the second cut on the album, is a shining moment for this disc. It's a dark, slow paced assemblage full of scathing political commentary and innuendo. "Remember" , the third track, is probably the best song on here, backed by Deborah Roberts on vocals, who creates a hypnotizing and enchanting atmosphere with a beautiful voice that is strong and demands attention...This is a fantastic record..."

"A welcome return from the underground: Bruno De Angelis and his Mana ERG project, currently based in England, release this mini CD on the French label Glyptique. A handful of songs enriched by the solemn vocals of soprano Deborah Roberts, where a haunted lyricism a-la Legendary Pink Dots fits into strong and unusual electro-rhythmic arrangements" - Rumore Magazine (Italy)
