Album Notes

Man Apart started with one sole purpose: to create a new style of music heard neither in Christian nor mainstream music in order to attract as many people to the gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The idea is to blend different styles of music to break down generation, culture, and style barriers in order to get a single message across, that Christ not only died for our sins but he conquered death and the grave to provide a place for us someday and the acceptance of Him is the only remission for our sins.
The members of Man Apart are just about as unique as the music. Everyone has come from different backgrounds which is one reason for the obvious variety of musical influence. Each individual brings their own style of music to the table whether it is jazz, rock, or country. Though the styles differ dramatically, they all come together as one which is evidence that God has put it together.
The band has been together for about three years and has played at numerous churches, FCA events, and Christian music venues from Southeast Georgia and Northeast Florida. At many of these events people have either received Christ at an alter call or told one of the band members personally about a life changing event that has taken place in their life. This constantly provides the band with a sense of humility. We are not on stage for personal edification. We are there to glorify God with the gifts that we enjoy to use for Him.
We have recently come out of the studio and have finished our self-titled demo. The demo was produced by Grammy award and Dove award winner Ronnie Cates, formerly of the band Petra, and was recorded in Rec Room Studios in Gainesville, Florida. We had a very short time to record and this was the first time most of us had done any recording. Despite our lack of faith, God showed Himself faithful and allowed us to finish the album.
Man Apart has continued to be a ministry minded group and has allowed God to work. We have given ourselves and our ministry over to Him and hope to accomplish nothing but His will. If we played for 30 years and never made a dime but one soul was saved, then the entire trip would have been worth it all.
