Album Notes

Mancino is the meticulously synchronized sound of 30 fingers, 6
hands, and 3 brains shared by Michael Grimes (guitar, bass and
vocals), Nadim Issa (keyboards, guitar and vocals), and Jonathan
Mason (percussion, assorted instruments and vocals).

Formed in New York City in the spring of 2003, the misters were
quick to align their eclectic musical tastes and backgrounds,
eventually morphing into the three-headed monster that is
now Mancino.  In addition to breathing sonic blasts of fire and
pillaging small villages with sounds reminicent of The Beach Boys,
Pavement, or the Talking Heads, the trio employs elements of
classical, 60\'s pop, psyche, and jazz in their innovative take on
rock music. In a world of their own, but accessible to all, Mancino
provides a vivid backdrop for tales of sadness, joy, sharks\'
haunting man\'s subconscious, and all you can eat buffets gone awry.
These Interlocking grooves and broad compositions provide a
foundation upon which angular melodies, Beatles-esque harmonies,
and instrumental freakouts are all stacked, shuffled, and spit out.

Mancino embarks on a new journey with each live show,
attracting a sizable and consistently-growing fanbase while
headlining many of New York\'s most reputable rock venues (The
Knitting Factory,  Sin-é, Arlene\'s Grocery, Rothko, Pianos,
CBGB\'S).

The misters ceremoniously released their debut ep \"Dear
International,\" on May 3rd 2005 and have begun extensive touring in
its support.

Who is.. Mancino!
author: Julie Andrews
Centuries ago, Old Men Mason, Grimes and Issa no doubt roamed the continents singing the exploits of various knights and heros.. Today their kindred have returned to bless us with this unique sound! Catchy, playful and unpretentious (they have no fear of being themselves on stage as well), these 12th generation minstrels just put a restraining order on me...

If you haven't heard about them, just wait: you will.

Mancino's experimental pop is touching, charming and just beautiful. Those three guys know exactly how to fill your ears with great music using their (only) three instruments and voices. If you haven't heard about them, just wait: you will. Or buy this excellent EP !

THESE TROUBADOURS ROCK
author: Mike Higbee
The guys in MANCINO have managed to put together songs that are consistently entertaining; not music you put on and forget about a few seconds later. Their music invites you to pay attention, catchy in the best of ways and at the same time so varied you'll forget the first catchy phrase to go on to the next. I especially love Tina's Little Toy and Hiccup Lines. Bravo!
