Mandi Leachman is a 25-year-old singer/songwriter, originally from Maryland, who has been wowing crowds since she was a little girl. Proficient in many genres of music she found a love for singing at a young age, and she has been pursuing it ever since. She has been working in the studio since she was 15 years old, and her voice has gotten her a lot of attention with the media. In 2000, the Greenbelt Gazette wrote an article on her music and covered her show at the 94th Aero Squadron in College Park, Maryland. She relocated to New York City in 2002 and was the lead singer in a group called BEAT-NIK HOOD, who recorded a Pop/R&B CD in New York, working at famous studios like the Hit Factory, Chung King Studios, and Unique in Times Square. In 2005, one of Mandi's songs was voted number 1 song for 4 weeks in a row on Next Big Hit and she did an exclusive radio interview to promote one of her singles, which can be found as a pod cast on 2006, she decided to take her music in a different direction altogether and became a solo artist. She moved to South Carolina, having teamed up with Matt Morgan at SIT-N-SPIN STUDIOS, who is handling the musical direction and production, and wrote and recorded a brand new album titled "BREAKTHROUGH" which is now available right now for purchase on CDBABY! She has been in the industry for a while now and her music is inspired by good and bad experiences, expressed through her own melodies and words.
