Album Notes

The Earth is heating up, Pluto is no longer a planet – just another day in the universe. And in the wonderful world of Mandrew, things are decidedly off-kilter and utterly ordinary at the same time: people eat fish and take on the dreams of others, hot wax awaits a visitor, a dandelion flies away, a vacuum salesman has evil intentions. Welcome to “The Wonderful World of Mandrew,” the second release from Mandrew, where Mike Andrew and friends give power-pop a shot in the arm. With more of a focused edge stylistically and more production expertise than his acclaimed debut, “The Wonderful World of Mandrew” was written and recorded in Phoenix with Mandrew’s brother, Patrick, and in the Twin Cities. The band includes James Everest on guitar (Lateduster, The Sensational Joint Chiefs), Pete Sands on keyboards (Honeydogs, Hookers & Blow), Ryan Lovan on drums (Terry Eason, Haley Bonar) and Jen Case (Run at the Dog) on bass. Welcome to a wonderful little corner of the universe.

Si Syd Barret o Mac Bolan se hubieran dedicado al powerpop habrían hecho un discazo como este probablemente
