Album Notes

Chuck Mandt recorded this CD on a Steinway Model D Grand Piano. Chuck, originally from Charleston, WV, can be found performing around the Atlanta, GA area in with The Jazz Disciples and at his home church First Baptist Church Douglasville, GA.

Chuck is very enthusiastic about jazz and gospel music. He has played in churches, restaurants, jazz festivals, and various private functions in WV, FL, DE, CT, NY, OH, and MI.

About the Songs of Azar CD:

Psalm 54:4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.

Azar (pronounced AW-Zar) is the Hebrew word that means to aid, surround, or protect. The word "helper" in the Biblical passage from Psalm 54:4 is derived from the word Azar. All thirteen songs in this collection have the theme of Azar.

As you listen to these songs and meditate, remember that God helps and protects those who love Him.
