About the Songs of Azar CD:
Psalm 54:4 Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
Azar (pronounced AW-Zar) is the Hebrew word that means to aid, surround, or protect. The word "helper" in the Biblical passage from Psalm 54:4 is derived from the word Azar. All thirteen songs in this collection have the theme of Azar.
As you listen to these songs and meditate, remember that God helps and protects those who love Him.

Maravilhoso/Wonderful
author: ClaytonArranjo maravilhoso, espetácular, envolvente!
Your songs and style are exciting, inspiring and relaxing simultaneously.
author: Paul Meier, M.D.I am a Christian Psychiatrist with clinics all over the U.S. (www.meierclinics.org), so at the end of the day, after pouring out my soul to my clients all day, I love to listen to Chuck Mandt's Songs of Azar because his jazz improvization is exciting to an ADHD person like myself who also loves music but not boring music. The songs are also very relaxing to me at the end of my hard day, and the songs inspire me to want to keep serving God and helping people to make my life count here on earth. relxing gospel piano
author: Steve GledhillThis is a solid effort from a fine pianist. Great dinner music and after dinner music. The only problem I had with this CD is that I listened to it right after listening to Tyler Andrews, "The Gospel According ot Groove" which had more energy and was jazzy bluesy solo piano fun. Chuck Mandt's CD, though, definitely has its place in my CD rotation.
Inspiring
author: Sue GrossThe music is inspirational and rejuvenating. Chuck is just the right pianist to bring the Truth to your ears through his musical talent.
Chuck's version might be the only sound for future hymns.
author: Bob VatalaroI paid little attention to the sound of these hymns until Chuck's arrangements and recordings. Bravo!
What an talented Pianist! Such inspired renditions!
author: Sooz ThomasYou will find yourself transported to that "Higher Place" we all seek as you listen to these truly inspired renditions of Gospel songs! The inspiration is surely from Heaven.
chuck is a painter, mixing water colors with holy "glow-in-the-darks"!
author: jen hoeftThe steinway sounds like it is in my livingroom...the songs are inspirational and classic...the mood is love...love for music, for the piano, for chuck's talent...
Awesome
author: BenAll I can say is WOW! Chuck's tallent is really showcased in this CD. The artistry and the talent he possesses really shine in each of the selections. The fact that he has done some different arrangements to some old hymms in ways that I have never heard, is really refreshing.
