The Mango Groove Steel band based in Conway NH, tours throughout the New England area. The band is a traditional steel band using four voices of pans, (Bass pans, guitar pans, Double Seconds and lead) a drum kit and auxiliary percussion – no electronics. We play a wide variety of music from Calypso, Latin and Reggae to Jazz, Motown, and Pop. The sweet rhythmic sounds of steel drums -or “pans” as they are called in the Caribbean- lend themselves well to exploring all genres of music from a new perspective.
Whether you want to jump up to a Trinidadian Soca tune or lay back by the pool and just groove to the dulcet tones of the steel drums, Mango Groove will provide a new experience of rhythm and melody that will put you on island time.
