Luis Mangual, composer arranger percussionist. Has been on the latin scene for many year's. Luis is the son of the world's greatest bongo player. Jose Mangual who has performed and recorded with the top latin and jazz artist of the era. Luis has participated in many of the Fania record's in the 70's. Those were the year's of the great salsa scene. This cd captures that era with the passion and the swing that made this music THE CRAZE OF THE DANCE WORLD

I'm one of many and proud grandaughters of Julian Llanos, daughter of one of his oldest sons with Alejandrina Mangual, Angel Luis Llanos and as Tabatha was saying, i never saw him performing in person and the only time he saw me was when i was about a year old.  Never got a chance to meet him when growing up, but I inherited 2 LP's that my dad left behind when he moved back to NY in 1993. Everytime when I go back to Puerto Rico, specially in Loiza, the people there always tell me how amazing was his voice and that makes me very proud! Que descanses en paz abuelo querido!

I really love this CD.  The times that I've spent with my grandfather(Julian Llanos) I never seen him perform, which is something I'll regret.
Hearing him sing on this CD is as if he were performing in front of me. I would like to thank Mangual for being apart of my grandfather's legacy."El Maestro Cantante Julian Llanos" Rest in Peace.
