Album Notes

Since 2006, Manimalhouse has been bringing New Orleans influenced funk and soul music to dancefloors around the Pacific Northwest. Combining powerful group vocals, fresh horn arrangements and non-stop energy, Manimalhouse turns every club into a house party.

Manimalhouse draws inspiration from the music of the great city of New Orleans, the most positive aspects of Hip-Hop culture, and every flavor of funk and soul music. Their goal is to combine these influences to create a musical experience that leaves everyone in the room feeling better than they did before the music began.

Manimalhouse features the devastating Reyna Mallare on lead vocals, the prodigy of New Orleans piano Mac Potts on keyboards, the funky and overwhelmingly handsome Dan Lee on guitar as well as Brody Lowe on lead vocals, Jeff Tummond on bass, Mark Blanding on drums and the powerhouse horn section of Jon Ramm-Gramenz on trombone, Brian Fitzsimmons on trumpet and Reid Neuman on saxophone.

They have been fortunate enough to share the stage with legendary New Orleans saxophonist Reggie Houston (most notably at the 2008 Portland Waterfront Blues Festival) and the incomparable Charmaine Neville (at Portland’s Washington Park).

Whether performing at large festivals or tearing the roof off your favorite neighborhood club, Manimalhouse brings the same feel-good intensity every time.
