Album Notes

John Manion relocated to New York City from Nashville, TN in 2002 to pursue a job in Corporate Sales. About a year into the climb up the corporate ladder, music crept back into the picture as a means of self preservation.

"Fireworks In The Rain" is a collection of songs stemming from the adventures of life in New York told by an aging adolescent.

The project started as a series of acoustic demos which morphed into a sophisticated folk-rock/broadway/jazz/comedy flavored CD. It features great players and was "road tested" along the way at live shows at Rockwood Music Hall and other venues in the city. The decision was made early on to craft the project into a left of center, outside the box singer-songwriter record.

"Fireworks In The Rain" is John Manion's 4th release on the Nashville Indie Label New Bohemian. This is the first available digitally.

Previous titles are "I Am A Wave" 1994, "Little Movies" 1998 and "Big Lesson's
