Album Notes

Reflections is the first album of instrumental pieces from Manir Donaghue. A guitarist from the relatively late age of 18, Manir's first foray into music was with the early 1980's "pastoral prog" outfit Coltsfoot (being replaced on departure by a very young Steven Wilson of Porcupine Tree fame), recording two EPs that were released to warm and cosy reviews in fanzines up and down progworld. Returning to the instrument after a sabbatical of several years, after playing with artists such as the Strictly Banks Tribute Project, Carrie Melbourne (Babylon Zoo/Tricky/Mike Oldfield), and Tony Patterson (John Hackett band), Reflections is a collection of pieces of music for guitar, keyboard and flute, featuring performances from Tony Patterson, and Mark Rae (Sanctuary Rig).

"Creating beautiful sounds in an often ugly and angry world."
