"Appealing vocal melodic lines. The guitars and horn lines are strong and hooky. Jabse is a great well performed song and is in the ballpark for dance club playlists and radio play" -- Review of song JABSE by TAXI, The U.S. Independent A&R leader in the Music Industry.
Departing from the formula driven East Indian pop and movie music, the upcoming Seattle based duo Manish Sanjeev embraces a new sensibility with an appreciation for lyric driven songwriting. Featuring a sound that is crisp and groovy, the group has been eliciting promising response from their growing fan base. The release of their debut album features the group's distinct sound along with a strong stand on an idealist perspective.
The songs playfully chronicle the romantic saga of a heart away from their homeland as well as the current issues on Kashmir. Be it the catchy 'Desi Dil', the melodic 'Aaja', the inspiring 'Nazariya', the tragic personification in 'Kashmir' or the fantasy filled 'Naye Kinare'- each song plays a unique part in this album which captures a wide variety of moods and emotions. Their sophomore effort, hailed by numerous critics has started receiving airplay on numerous radio stations in America, New Zealand and Australia
So what do they sound like? Manish Sanjeev's influences span East Indian easy listening, folk, pop and hiphop interspersed with strong hooks and melody lines. The result is marketable songs that are edgy, infectious, and extremely memorable. Most songs have an unforgettable hook that leaves you humming the tune for hours on end. The eclectic mix that makes up Nazariya's sound is the direct result of the the duo's cornucopia of musical taste and experiences.
This talented duo write and produce their own material. Their twelve compositions which include ten songs, an instrumental and a fiesty remix literally intersect each other with romantic notions trying to create a trip through diverse musical landscapes, sounds and gossamer textures. The album is an amalgamation of East Indian melodies, textures and rhythms with western sounds and applications and a layering of philosophical strains. It is their intention to take this sound to an audience seeking respite from the hackneyed regurgitation of contemporary commercial music, something in search of a new fresh romantic perspective - Nazariya!
Manish's clever, timely and insightful songwriting and his layered vocals coupled with Sanjeev's musical compositions of layered guitars, synthesizers, bass, harmonica and catchy rhythms on this collection of originals is what translates into the album Nazariya that you would want to play over and over and over.
If you want to catch a rising star then this radio friendly duo is definitely one to keep an eye and ear on! Find out more about them on their website www.manishsanjeev.com

Catchy and a break from run of the mill stuff
author: Pulkit MehtaThe songs were very Catchy and a break from run of the mill stuff we hear everyday. Great job done !! One suggestion still is to pay more attention to lyrics and add a touch of Urdu words to make it more rich. Apart from this, I believe you guys have done a job that can put some Bollywood music directors in shame. Congratulations again..
