Otis Mannick's Bio

Singer/songwriter/producer Otis Mannick exploded onto the L.A. music scene with the release of his first album "Reeling in Sobriety" in the summer of 2002. His thought provoking lyrics challenge the mind, bleed the heart and send chills to his listeners' souls. He has been compared to such greats as Joni Mitchell, John Mayer and Soundgarden for his heavier songs. Characterized as "alternative rock with a folkie edge", Otis Mannick's music breathes originality, a fresh sound plugged into both the younger and older generations. As a solo artist with a message to give, Otis Mannick captivates his audiences with his deeply honest views on life, love, heartache, politics and the world in which we live in. With a voice that could move mountains and original music and lyrics, Otis Mannick is on a path for greatness.

Scheduled for release in the fall of 2003 comes Otis Mannick's second album "Extraverted, Introvert". Also due in the fall of 2003 is the release of Otis' first music video for the song entitled, "What If In This Life," tracked on the upcoming "Extraverted, Introvert" album.

Otis Mannick was born in Northern California and has lived in Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Boston, New York City and Los Angeles. He attended both Boston Conservatory and Berklee School of Music for voice and music. He has performed all over New York City including CBGBs, The Bitter End and other New York favorites and in Los Angeles at The Gig, The Joint, The Viper Room and Genghis Cohen.
