Album Notes

During production, I was trying to explain the concept of this album to a friend of mine. In so many words, he stated, "I get it. This is your mid-life crisis album."

And I had to admit that was true. That place between the road that stretches behind us and the uncertain future that unfolds before us is an introspective one. Musically, this album is piano-driven, jazz-influenced, and has a touch of old school funk. Lyrically, I examine the life half-lived, and the questions that come from that place. I hope you like it.

Guest appearances on this album include: Matt Sawhill (basses), Steven Randal (electric guitar), Jim Heinze (acoustic guitars), David Holcomb (acoustic guitars), and my eight year old twin girls, Rachel and Paige (background vocals on the title track). The album was mastered by Bob Kilpatrick at One World Studios.

About me: I've been a musician in the Sacramento, California, area for over 20 years, with about 50 album credits and literally hundreds of concerts and appearances locally. I've been the worship pastor for a church in Folsom for over 15 years. Visit my website at www.manuelluz.com for more information.
