I am a young singer that has been given the opportunity to sing for Pope John Paul onhis last visit to MExico City, to sing on national TV in Mexico and the US and before audiences of more than 2, 500 to a few of personal weddings. My CD is a collection of songs of home, couple with the longing to be with family and friends. Songs of love and entertainment, songs of fun and excitement and a song of praise.

Just to let you know, last June I completed another album, this time under the Warner Brothers Latina division entitled "Manuel Romero" and last Friday, I was notified that I have been nominated in the first round for "Best Album" and Best New Vocalist for the Latin Grammys in 2003.

My new album is almost completely new material written by song writers working for Warner Bros. Thanks to them for a terrific album that covers everything from who I am to where I come from. Here's hoping that I see everyone in Miami this year.....Love Ya....Manuel

First CD of a very talented young Mexican Artist

If you like to listen to AND support NEW voices in the music market, then give yourself (and Manuel) a chance and try this CD. A mixture of seven partially almost Homemade-like (re-)produced traditional Mexican songs (sung in Spanish) with lots of trumpets and guitars, two familiar songs (sung in English) that you surely will recognize, AND of course the voice of an (back then in 1999 when the CD was released) about 11-year old fellow with not only lots o' talent but also great dedication in what he's doing... Don't miss song no. 10 (Ave Maria) !  -  Well done, Manuel !

Hey this is a great CD with a real mexican beat to it.Mexico Lindo is a  great version of a track I still have on and old 78 plastic record recorded by Trio Los Huastecos in the 1940s  I think and brought by my grandad.
