Album Notes

Manuto is a French soul blues trio and they've been playing together since Fall 2002.

Tieno Brachet plays drums, Bruno Cesaroni plays bass and Manu Destanque sings while playing both electric and electro-resonator guitar

They're writing original material both in French and English and are also covering songs from artists such as Ben Harper, Albert King, Chris Whitley, Stevie Wonder or Prince.

The art of the trio requiring precision and discipline, Manuto took the needed time to work both the songs and the sound of the band. They started gigging in the summer of 2003 and carried on all along 2004.

They finally recorded our first CD in the UK in 5 days in February-March 2005.

They'll be showcasing the album in december 2005 in Paris. But first, They'll opening for the incredible pub-rock legends DOCTOR FEELGOOD at the end of September.

Manuto is actively looking forward to open for prominent blues-rock artists and, why not, tour with them while they are in France or in Europe, before recording a second CD sometime in 2006.

You can check the way they sound and look on their sonified website on www.manuto.net. (they look kind of "old school" but god! they're rocking!)

Voilà... for now!

REVIEWS

Blues with a groove....from France.
author: Winston Pushbike
Manu of Manuto has found his sound! This French three-piece have produced a great blues album that has got feeling and groove and if you understand French, depth. A true-blue sound with a solid funk influence that may take a few plays but once you're into it you're hooked. With one excellent exception all songs are in French, which is a welcome change, however this fact does not make the songs any less catchy and you'll find yourself singing along even if you're oblivious to the meanings!! Why any number of the songs on this album are not currently climbing up the eclectic French music charts is a mystery.
