Album Notes

THE MAPLE STREET PROJECT have been playing progressive acoustic music for the better part of 18 years. We don't feel "old" but... we ain't kids! While most of us are in our mid 50s we're totally committed to composing and performing original material. Thanks to CD Baby, we can share what we do with the whole wide world!

We are noted for our tight vocal harmonies and original compositions. "Attitude on the Street" was our first CD, finally making our music available outside of a live performance environment.

Our sound is a mixture of myriad influences each member brings to the stage and recording studio. The principle voices include Mel Green (Guitar/Harmonica/Vocals), George Pultz (Guitar/Vocals), Bob Littman (Mandolin/Violin/Vocals) and Eric Luskin (Bass/Vocals). Jim Mavor rounds out the group with percussion and stoic non-vocals (occasional accordion).

Each of us has an interesting musical history in his own right. Some will even tell you about it ad nauseam, so it's best not to ask! While we all have day jobs and families, this dream of writing, performing and recording lives on.

Our songs are about "life themes" as well as fun, whimsical slices of life. A performance from THE MAPLE STREET PROJECT will feature a variety of moods and sonic colors and always results in a warm audience response.

REVIEWS

great laid back cd w/ good harmonies
author: locojoe2
sounds similar to some of the early-mid 70's dead music with a twinge of newness and harmonies that sound as good as csn..i hear lots of influences in there. worth the bucks for this ear pleasing disc.
