Hailing from the forgotten coal towns of western Pennsylvania, The Marauders have been playing lives shows nonstop since they began.
The band formed in 2001 consisting of members Ben Dumm on guitar and vocals, Abe Weber on drums, and Chris Lawson on upright bass.
The Marauders\' sound is rooted in a combintaion of rockabilly and 1950\'s rocknroll with a healthy dose of modern day punk rock energy. With this formula they create a style of music that attracts a wide fan base spanning many genres. With eye catching live perfomances and a dedication to heartfelt musicianship they have earned themselves the admiration of peers, and even a few of their idols, most notabley Brian Setzer.
In 2006 Setzer took the Marauders on tour nation wide as his opening act as well as penning their theme song entitled \"We Are The Marauders\". Since then The Marauders have continued to take thier music on the road and continue to win over new fans in every town they play.

Real Rock-Roll!

An honest, hard hitting, high energy no BS rock-n-roll record all the way through, and a great one at that! These guys are such a good band that if you don\'t like this cd and live anywhere in the PA, Maryland Ohio area and don\'t see them, something is seriously wrong with you! Buy it, you\'ll love it. Go see them live, you\'ll love that as well, they\'re a great band!

Another Jem

Hailing from Ireland it took a while for he to hear about the Marauders, and that only came about when I heard they were backing the BSO, a while back, Since then I have got the two previous albums and have been trying to get hold of there first couple of RP\'s. So as soon as I could get hold of Dial M for Marauder,(not being able to get to theie show an all) I did, and was it worth the wait. Great tracks, a lot more \"for the want of a better word\" grittier. This is a must for all rockabilly fans. I was curious about the last 3 songs haveing appeared on previous albums but rest assured if yiu have thos albums the re-worked versions here are excellent.
One of these years I will have to arrange a USA vacation around these guys tour. get the album you will not be disapointed.

The Marauders do it AGAIN!
author: Hankdawg
Their self titled album, The Marauders, has been a part of my regular playlist since I bought it several years ago at a show. The boys from Altoona have met or exceeded all of my expectations with their new release "Dial M For Marauder" with songs of teenage angst, the drifting music life, the lack of good music available on the radio, and even a cool little number about a bunny rabbit road kill. As an entertainer myself, I have always felt that rockabilly and punk music requires attitude and soul. There are many so called "rockabilly" acts that just sound like old records. NOT THE MARAUDERS! Buy their albums, go to their shows!
