Album Notes

Born in Hastings, New Zealand, but living most of his life in Auckland, Marc first picked up a guitar when he was about sixteen. Teaching himself chords from a mail order guitar instruction book, he soon decided that music was his thing.

Always a loner not to mention a perfectionist, Marc realised that the only way to produce what he heard in his head was to do it all himself. The days of 4 track cassette recorders have long since departed and Marc has embraced emerging digital technology as it has... emerged. "I'm a perfectionist so I'm always looking for ways to get a better sound. Actually being a perfectionist can be a pain in the Bottom and it still doesn’t come out perfect!"

Influenced primarily by melodic guitar bands such as The Beatles, Kinks, XTC and Cold Play, Marc’s music ranges from acoustic ballads to full-on-guitar-heavy-alternative-rock. “Whatever I’m into at the time."
