A long labor of love for sure. This album took about 5 years to complete. Being a leading session drummer/songwriter/producer/engineer in Los Angeles since he decided to not tour anymore in '97, Marchas been focusing on the recording studio as a way to make a living and to not go crazy. These songs are more personal then the previous tunes on the Powerslide CD and the Absorbent release. There are still a few clever power-pop songs in the mix, but also a good assortment of moody songs to bring up the goose bumps.

Forgive my senior rage, but after watching the recent "American Music Awards" I just have to say, that I'm sick to death of reviewers talking about the dancing skills of singers, and apologizing for the vocal weakness of songwriters. M. D. puts it all together with skill, and taste, and dammit...the cat has some serious chops. I also got his "Absorbent". I'll review that as soon as I get tired of listening to this.
