"Upon first listen, Marcella has a sound reminiscent of . . . well, it's hard to say. A quick-paced drum and hard, choppy guitars set the mood for a catchy, rock song with an edge. Instead, a voice with a tone that's more like Norah Jones or Tori Amos than the traditional alternative vocalist launches into a melodic and emotional tune.
