Some singers (like Whitney Houston & Brian McKnight) have the natural gift of riding the musical staff at any speed. We call this vocal riffing. Many people, though possessing the ability to sing, lack the ability to riff. Those who lack such a skill often try to do it during a performance, only making themselves look and sound unprofessional. One must admit that it is easier to mimic Pavarotti than to imitate Mariah Carey. Riffing is a major part of vocal training that most vocal coaches over-look. Some artists over-use riffing, making it the main focus of their song or displaying it like gaudy jewelry. The intention of this production is to help you enhance your vocal skills - to sweeten the song and to make it more interesting to the ear..... not to make you a show-off. This CD will give you the vocal training needed to develop or strengthen your vocal riffing skills

    Thank you!!! Today was I believe the first time I ever smiled and enjoyed a vocal practice session. I got through half of the first cd, and I used a program called 'amazing slowdowner' which allows you to adjust speed and pitch, so I used the speed first to get the notes and then tried the excercises at different pitches. Then I tried some of my own variations. You did a great thing. Now I will look forward to practicing and getting ready for recordings without procrastinating. This is so enjoyable. I hope you make more of these. They are great! And since I cannot afford a live vocal coach and cant even find one I really think you can help me learn what Im looking for...this is perfect! No more throwing away money and struggling to pay for rent while paying for lessons that dont inspire me! Thank you thank you THANK YOU!!! Dorit

    I browsed the Internet like crazy looking for a riffing CD and this was all I found... and I am happy I did! This is an excellent CD and it's great for R&B singers to warm up and practice and it's great for those aspiring singers who want to develop and polish their riffing skills. I'm a recording artist and to me, this does the work of a personal vocal coach. I highly recommend it!

    As a seasoned singer of 15 years, I found the CD to be helpful. I received professional training for several years. During those years I never could find a specific CD addressing the vocal riffing technique such as yours. I am sure your product is in high demand and if it isn't yet, it will be.
