Fantasitc album. Actually a throwback to the days when you expressed love for your woman first and foremost. The song "Cant Wait" is infectious and communicates what every man wants to say to that very special woman. A true gem of song, deliberate, cool and sexy. This album is timeless. Who writes like this these days? Marcell talks about broad topics in such a specfic way. He makes you examine things different. Everytime I listen to this album I hear something new. It's jam packed with sick vocals, great musicianship and the illest lyrics I've heard in years. 5 stars for sure. This album hits so many places in me. I needed "Seed You Water" to come out of a terrible relationship & played it every day I studied for the bar. "Somewhere in Between" called me to balance my life more and slow down. "Greatest Love" helps me take better inventory of relationships I want to build or consider ending. "Symbols" my lord challenges me so much, I play this every day at lunch to watch getting caught up at work in trying to blend in with shallow thinking. Marcell you have no idea what this music is literally doing for some of our minds and souls, I'm serious. Keep listening to God this is clearly bigger than you, we need it. This is what music is supposed to do. You have a fan for life.

A strong follow up to the great "Hopes too high" album from a few years ago. Sounding a little like The Rance Allen Group or even Frankie Beverly & Maze.
"Can't wait" is one of the tracks of the year!

It's always refreshing when an artist creates art. It seems entertainers rarely write music that you can visually see. Marcell writes songs as if he is writing a book that allows your imagination to participate. He writes familiar topics in fresh ways and clever angles to revisit what we may already know but may not have considered it quite that way he describes it or he helps us see things we may not have seen at all. This is more than music; it is art.

I understand why words like "brilliant" "genius" are used about this man and his music. This is so ahead of it's time but so on time. Marcell is the best thing that soul music has to offer today. You take any album thats come out in the past five years with neo-soul, soul or r&b and put this on right after and then tell me am I wrong. Most of these other artist hide behind the tracks and they ain't saying much of nothing but this guys music is good, lyrics are timeless, voice and range is legendary status. We have a star right here for real. Great great music!
