Marcelo, el chocolate de la salsa! was born in Bolivia on January 10, 1984. Marcelo always sang during his chilhood untill he was a teenager but he never paid attention to those singing skills. It was until the begining of 2006 were he begun his quest to recording his first album. During that time, he met Lucho Cueto, then Marcelo just couldn't resist the temptation of working with such a great musician.
After a couple of years working with Lucho Cueto, Marcelo comes with his first salsa album "Luz de mi camino", this album has nine solid tracks that were produced entirely by Lucho Cueto. The tenth song was produced by Fernando Torrico in the pop/balada category. Ninety percent of this album was recorded in New York. Just to mention some names that participated in the making of this album are, Lucho Cueto(piano/keyboard), Maximo Rodriguez(Baby Bass), Roberto Quintero(Percussion), Nelson Gazu(Trumpets), Percy Recabaren(Trombones). This album was recorded at Guarango Recording Studios in L.I. New York by Lucho Cueto and mixed and mastered at Skylight Recording Studios N.J. by Guido Diaz, the tenth song of this album (Yo sin ti pop/balada version) was recorded, mixed and mastered at Digistar Music studios in Alexandria V.A. by Fernando Torrico.
