Album Notes

I'll never forget the first time I sang for a crowd. It was 1990, and I had just started high school. I was a nervous wreck. I was as shaky as a tree blowing in 50 mile hour winds, and as stiff as a 2 X 4. If someone would have asked me if I was going to be a singer/song writer when I grew up, I would have laughed at them. For many years the only singing I did was inside church walls. In fact, it wasn't until 2004 that I actually started pursuing my musical journey. I began taking vocal lessons at a local studio, which led to performing, which led to song writing, which led to the completion of my album. My vocal coach became my mentor, co-writer, and friend. We wrote together for about a year and a half on the songs for my album (11 originals total). I have performed at local Opry's around town, and have sang 3 times on stage in Branson, Missouri. I'm a member of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International), and am working to further my musical journey. Singing is a vehicle that can reach out and affect peoples lives. It can bring back memories of happiness, open eyes to truth, and heal a hurting heart. I want my music to do all of those things. It's about reaching out, spreading a message of love and hope, and bringing a smile to someone's face. It's my hope that I am inspiring others to do the same.

REVIEWS

Something for everybody
author: LKristine
One of the reasons I love this CD is that it's got a lot of variety. Marce May has a country sound mostly, but you'll also find some rock and even some blues. I can listen to this CD for hours and hours at a time because the sound isn't the same on every song. Another thing I love is Marce May's lyrics. You can tell she puts a lot of care into crafting each line. Some of the stuff she comes up with is so clever and so right-on. My favorites are Tough Job (a tribute to mothers) and Hit N Run. I also really enjoy her version of Long Black Train, and I find Time Keeps Tickin very comforting.
