Marchitect's career started in the early nineties with the release of the single "Dead in your Trax." The song was a vinyl classic in the Delaware Valley (Delaware, and Philadelphia). Marchitect then linked up with longtime friend Jas Mace to form THE OUTFIT. Marchitect and Jas Mace, now known as THE 49ers produced and wrote a considerable amount of material on THE SOUNDTRACK TO LIFE, THE OUTFIT'S debut effort. The critically acclaimed release still sells world wide. Marchitect would go on to produce for hundreds of artists in the Philadelphia area, as well as become Vice President of the independent label Wonderland Musiq. His new solo record FRESH OUT THE LAB is a unique blend of Old School Hip Hop with new school intracacies. The album that ALLHIPHOP.COM and BBC Radio have labeled the "thing to watch in 2006.." is a prequel to the upcoming Jas Mace release FROM THE CHEAP SEATS, and the The 49ers full length album EQUILIBRIUM. The single "THE BELTS" from the forthcoming EQUILIBRIUM has received over a million streams on the internet already. With out a doubt Marchitect and Jas Mace are the names to look for in the Hip-Hop world.

No BS, It's the Truth

I know Tect, but I wanted jot down the following if I didn't like it, I'd just wanted say anything. So real talk, this is a very good album. Why? Beats and Rhymes. The production on this album is 'up there'.. really crisp production, that's what lures you in. Tect's emceein' style goes from a 'chill barritone' to and upbeat spitfire cadence. Son is no rookie. Lyrically, he's tight too. Metaphoric at times, but he can also tell a mean story.. check 'King of the Town'.. that jawn is visual. As an emcee myself, I know the importance of painting a picture, literally, Tect does that. But check "Ridaz".. that beat 'feels' like a smoke-filled room.. real tight vibe.
Big Up.
Peace
Lahdik

Great Album Well Worth Checking Out
author: Dr DL
I was slightly wary when I saw the Marchitect album cover - he's wearing an england shirt and sitting in a Laundrette. I almost had to do a double-take to make sure it wasn't a UK grime artist. But when I listened to it I was blown away, this is a really solid album. Kind of reminds me of that Main Source sort of era with tracks like "yada yada" and "around the world in 40 bars", But has some production that doesn't sound like anyone else - that 90's boombap crossed with more recent synth type stuff. I recommend checking it out.
