When you don't know what to say to someone who is grieving, "Give the gift of music." This CD is the perfect gift for someone who is struggling to cope with the loss of a loved one. Each song was specially chosen to address the feelings that are common with grief. Listen to the songs. They are meant to inspire and speak to you. "So Young" was written for Marcie O'Neil's nieces,family, to help them with their grief after Jackie passed on at the tender age of 19. "Oh God, how could she leave us. Will we ever get through the pain", reminds us how intense the heartache is when a child is gone and life seems unfinished The song "To Where You are" reminds us that our deceased loved ones are only a breath away from us.

The purpose of recording this CD was to provide a gift for my grieving family. In this process, "In Memory Of" has helped many. The CD has been passed from person to person. It is as if God has placed it in the hands of those who are most in need. The blessing is to hear of people using the CD at funerals, gravesides, and weekend retreats. The family of Jackie Ahlers hopes that it will be meaningful to you and that you will continue to spread the gift of music to the grieving.

Marcie O'Neil, MSW, LISW is a counselor/psychotherapist who had devoted her life's work to helping persons with emotional pain. Her education includes: a Bachelor of Arts degree with a concentration in Music therapy and a Master of Social Work degree. Among of her specialties are the treatment of Post-Traumatic Stress Syndrome, Depression, Anxiety, family issues and and severe mental illness. In this CD, she combines her incredible voice with the gift of healing in the songs she sings. Definitely a "must hear." The songs were painstaikingly selected to speak to those in mourning.

"In Memory Of " is a heart felt compilation of original songs and classics to inspire and console those that are left to grieve the passing of someone so dear.

3 of the songs on the CD are original pieces: "So Young", "You are everything" and "Without God in my life". The rest of the pieces are remakes of previously released songs. Amazing Grace, an old classic, was arranged in a in a compelling gospel style that stirs the soul
