Album Notes

Marc Twang has been performing and recording music for over 30 years. Through introspective commentary and fanciful satire, his repertoire of original songs spans the spectrum of our contemporary experience. Using the traditions of folk, country, and blues, Marc meets the reality of the human condition head-on. His credits include several albums, CD singles and "Original Folk," a survey of American singer-songwriters recorded on Folkways Records. He has also completed a full-length musical-comedy, and: THE CAR SONG, winner of The 2004 Berkeley Film Festival’s Music Video “Grand Prix Award.” Twang’s’ latest CD’s, include: "Just a Kid:" Twelve kid songs with an adult satiric twist, six of which are performed by 9-18 year old local talent. Also: “Stayin’ in Shape,” including 10 new tunes. Also available is: “Hangin’ on the Deck,” …a ‘Titanic’ musical-allegory, leaving no doubt that we’re in a progressively desperate, global crisis, and, “Big Vat,” a folk-beat-raga-rap evoking the global warming nightmare. Then there’s “Just Another Day,” an uplifting testament to living with a kidney transplant."Time" was originally recorded on a Revox A77 2-track recorder with DBX noise reduction system and mixed with an Atari 8-Track and DAT 2-track. Enjoy!
