Another good one from an underestimated artist
author: Pat McCurdy (N.O.La.)
First saw Marcy on tour with E.C. in the mid 70's and knew she was great but had no idea of her roots or depth. It's all here, in great form and with great backing. The guitar and harmonica are an excellent venue for Marcy's sort of "get in your face" vocals. Give this one a try, you'll be glad you did.

Worth the Wait
author: Terry Malin
After see Marcy at the Chicago Blues Fest last year I was looking forward to hearing more of her work. The CD is GREAT. The only thing is I would have like to have seen is more info in the liner notes. And would have like to heard Marcy on the harp which according to the liner notes she did not play. Hope Marcy makes it to the Cincinnati area in the near future.

Excellent!!!
author: Oliver Sweeting
This album has been a while coming but was definitely worth the wait. My favourite tracks are Lay Down Sally, Forget About Me, Sugar Daddy and Hold To Your Money but there isn't a dud on here - the album starts as it means to go on with all but a few tracks being upbeat, funky, sassy, rich guitar and harmonica led blues in a variety of styles and rhythms. Marcy (and the band), you're great!!!
