Singer/songwriter Mary Ann Redmond is described as "an exciting vocal talent" in a Billboard magazine article that went on to say "....Redmond is wowing club audiences as a completely formed stylist, who sings heartfelt ballads and funky tunes with equal ease and enthusiasm in an alto voice that soars effortlessly to soprano range."

MAR- Live
author: John Morales
Killer CD!!! Very unique voice and a great band. I need to buy the other two CD's and would like to see new ones being produced. What comes to mind is a CD of Blues covers with Ain't No Sunshine, Red House even some Stevie Ray Vaughan would be cool. I got turned on to MAR through an Eva Cassidy site. Two styles but equal talent.

Probably the best all-over live album ever!
author: Oliver Knieps
Sounds big, but this CD has everything i was ever looking for on a live record: An amazing voice, great musicians, superb, breathtaking performances and excellent material, not to forget is the very good sound of this taped live concert by Mary Ann Redmond. She´s groovin´, rocking, bluesin´, she takes all out of her voice and fireing into my living room - Mary Ann and Band are a steam locomotive: Once started, it´s hard to stop it - and nobody wants to. Starting out with "Whispering Your Name", elegantly switching to "Too Many Cooks" and blasting us off from the seats with a thunderous version of "Crossroads" (thus i have to say was the best version of the song ever!), she calms us down with "Georgia" augmented by a brillant piano intro and peaking into an stunning vocal performance, like all the other exquisite tracks - tune in to "I Can´t Stand The Rain", "Many Rivers To Cross" or "Tell Me What It Feels Like" - you will get 100% full service of a great voice and a great band. This CD was spinning non-stop for almost a week in my player and has a place in my shelf among the best live albums of all time. Mary, we want to see you performing in good old germany.....drop me a line ;)

Always terrific
author: Michael Moore
I had the pleasure of first hearing Mary on CD in 1995 when a friend gave me a copy of her first CD. I played it constantly and recently started looking for more from Mary after I stumbled on a download of her duet with Eva Cassidy. That's when I found this CD. I've wanted to see her live for years and have never gotten around to it but after hearing this and falling in love with her voice all over again, I know that 2008 will finally be the year I see her at least once. If you like a bluesy, soulful, honest voice, don't pass this up or any of her other three CD's. Her song selection is great, the arrangements just right and this CD will get plenty of spins in my CD player.

She is great!

Let me say first in my homeland language: "Mary Ann Redmond ist unersaettlich im wachen Sehen". (transl.: Mary Ann Redmond is insatiable of watchful perceiving her surroundings.) Right this culminates in her impressible lyrics. Of course I really enjoy the arrangements - especially of "Georgia On My Mind" (a sixth '*' for this) too! My opinion is, actually there is only one increase in comparison to this Live-CD: To meet her at a live performance. All parts of her personality dovetail with each other: Her voice, her lyrics, her compositions, her arrangements. A giant WOW from Mannheim, Germany.
