Hailing from Edmonton Alberta, Maren Ord is no stranger to the music business. She initially got into the business when at the age of 16 she won a local radio station's song writing contest. Since then she's gone on to see the world recording and touring her debut album "Waiting". Juno nominated and spawning 3 singles that collectively amassed more than 23,000 spins at radio in Canada, the debut certainly was a great set up for where Maren finds her self today. The new release "Not Today" was recorded at The Barn Studios on Salt Spring Island on the West Coast of British Columbia. At the helm of the project was the legendary Randy Bachman. Bachman produced and performed on the entire album and even co-wrote many of the songs. It was on a chance meeting through a mutual friend that the pair even met, but from the first time he her perform Bachman said of Ord: "For years I've had my ears open, looking for the perfect voice to sing some of the more rocking songs I've had the music for. I'm so glad I found Maren Ord to work with. She has the perfect voice."
