Album Notes

"Hearing Margaret MacDonald play the piano and sing her songs, I immediately feel transported to a place where every note is what I want it to be and where lyrics deliver the emotional impact the melodies deserve. This is exceptional talent combined with well honed craft."

-Harriet Schock
Platinum Songwriter/Recording Artist/Film Composer/Songwriting Teacher

Margaret MacDonald writes and sings from the heart about love, relationships, parental themes, coming home after a long time away, and intriguing characters she has met over the years.

She grew up in San Francisco listening to R&B, pop, folk, and classical music, and her songwriting reflects all of these influences.

The result is an intermingling of poetic lyrics, beautiful melodies and chord changes that gather the listener into the very fabric of her songs. The warm and pure tones of her voice convey the emotions running through each song, with occasional vocal harmonies completing the perfect blend.

Margaret is currently recording new material at Bright Orange Studios and Theta Sound in Los Angeles.

She also performs regularly with other local musicians in and around her home town of Los Angeles, California.
