MARGIE GIBSON

Margie Gibson is a singer, BMI songwriter, Sheffield Lab Recording Artist, actress and teacher. Currently based in her hometown, Chicago, after working in the music industry for several years in Los Angeles. Margie has just completed a new CD entitled "All We Need to Know."

Along with musical theater, Margie has sung for movies, jingles, television and corporate events. She has written songs for television, commercials, contests and other recording artists. Margie has appeared on the concert stage with big bands, jazz ensembles, original bands and symphony orchestras.

Margie has opened shows for Mel Torme, Marvin Hamlisch, Danny Thomas, and toured extensively with Bob Hope.

In Chicago, Margie has been a guest artist with the Fine Arts Symphony Orchestra; starred in "Side by Side by Sondheim" and performed for Stephen Sondheim at The Symphony Center. Margie fuses her vast experience into creatively coaching students of all ages to "Sing from the Heart."

Margie performs a tribute to American Popular Music (featuring songs by Irving Berlin & Leonard Bernstein). This concert has been presented at the Waldorf Astoria, NY; the Jazz Bakery, LA, the Tanglewood Jazz Festival, NY and other venues.

Margie's CDs include "Say it with Music," "A Sheffield Christmas Collection"(Sheffield Lab Recordings, Ojai, CA), "Sing with the Angels"(Angelsing Records, proceeds benefit charitable organizations) and "From Unity in Chicago with Love."
