In 1997 I lent Marie a dual cassette boom box on a world cruise in college (she was feverishly dubbing her own tapes lol )... never did i think it would lead to this. Much continued success to you. RTFO! Awesome music, awesome person. I admire your style girl. Later. :)

  • one word: mesmerising

Some music, you bob your head to but forget, some music you hum for a bit, and some music takes you through time and space to lost memories like Marie Beer's. This woman's music is the kind I pass around to all my friends and insist they listen.

  • Amazing....wish there were 6 stars.

The songs on this disk are so beautiful, they are almost haunting. Marie has a voice unlike anything I've ever heard, and her talent as a musician is unquestionable. The CD is worth it for 'Sundown' alone.

  • A Beautiful Voice From A Stunning Album...
    author: David McAfee

I purchased this CD after hearing the clips here, as I was amazed at Marie's beautiful voice, and I have not been dissapointed since. Six incredible songs, brilliantly and delicately executed, from the opening notes of Happy Birthday to the haunting beauty of one of my personal favorites Let It be Him. Many of the songs convey the religious undertones lyrically reminiscent of PJ Harvey, such as Let It Be Him, Come Down and Play and The Garden. An original, Marie has crafted her own unique beauty. Personal, satisfying, and assured, these six songs are more unique and touching than any of the unoriginal, uninpired songs dominating today's airwaves. Marie is the true definition of an artist.
