Album Notes

-Marilyn's Bathdance is a three piece rock & roll band from metropolitan Detroit. It's high energy power pop fused with story telling and beat poetry. Their influences cross many planes, and the final result sounds something like dylan mixed with pogues mixed with the meters mixed with nick cave and the bad seeds mixed with husker du mixed with smashing pumpkins mixed with the stone roses mixed with Beth orton mixed with robyn hitchcock mixed with the replacements mixed with johnny cash mixed with p.j. harvey. Yeh, something like that. Lyrical dream pop blended into aggressive garage-core. In the end it's just an addictive compilation of music from dedicated songsmiths. Check it out. Peace.

REVIEWS

Killer songs. An exceptional work.

I heard a track on Detroit radio and had to hear more. After acquiring a copy of the c.d. and giving it a couple of plays, I've discovered it grew on me more and more with every listen. The c.d. is relatively short in length, but loaded with five quality songs that are all unique in their vibe. I recommend it.
