notes
Mario Tacca wa born in Italy. Later during his childhood, he moved to the Alsace Lorraine region of France where he began his musical studies. While in France, he was the winner of many regional and national accordion competitions. He went on to become a World champion, winning the World Cup of Italy, the Grand Prix of Paris, the US National Competition and the International Accordion competition held at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Mario Tacca dazzles audiences across the US and around the world with his unmatched virtuosity on the Accordion and his consistently exciting interpretations of music from the International repertoire to the classics to pop.
This is what people around the world are saying: "Mario Tacca is a true Master of his instrument." (Spring City News - People's Republic of China); "Mario Tacca - the invincible Master - unreachable!" (Accordiana) Chicago, IL; "Mario Tacca combines the technique and the musicianship of a true performer." (Hector Guzman - Music Director Plano, Irving and San Angelo Symphony Orchestras, Texas). "Mario Tacca, an accordionist of the highest level - his fingers seem to fly over the keyboard - his musical interpretations were received with the great recognition he deserved!" (Le Republicain Lorrain - France Journal, Alsace Lorraine, France).
Mario Tacca's love and intense desire to play the accordion began in his early chilhood. He loved the sound! He would pick up the accordion and imitate some of the songs his mother used to sing. The desire and love never diminished, despite having to walk three miles weekly to his teacher with his instrument strapped to his back!
You wil feel this passion and love as you listen to Mario Tacca's interpretation of these great French masterpieces, including a composition of his own, Track No. 3, Souvenir D'Alsace. Imagine yourself at an outdoor cafe overlooking the River Seine! "Fleur de Paris" is a must for your musical collection!
