Marisa Massery is a tiny flickering flame in the giant world of contemporary and gospel music.
Her deep compassion for the poor and her God given gift to sing, compose and play the piano have helped her touch hundreds of lives.
Marisa is only 21 years old but the mature clarity and range of her voice put her well beyond her years.
Marisa\'s trip to Haiti with a church youth group changed her life. The song she wrote, Eyes of a Haitian Child, is an insightful and compassionate look into the life of needy Haitian children. A portion of the proceeds from this album will help the poor children of the village of De Sabble.
Marisa is the same little girl that inspired the birth of the Father Daughter Valentine Dance, an outreach to families that has been duplicated all across America. (www.fatherdaughterdance.com} Her story has been written about in numerous family publications including two articles in the Focus on the Family magazine.
Marisa is currently a Senior Humanities Major at Providence College in Rhode Island.

Marisa, you are so incredibly talented! I met your dad on a plane yesterday and he told me all about your music. I was so excited to hear your songs that I bought one on ITUNES as soon as I came home from the airport! You are such an inspiration and have such a positive message for the world to hear! Your lyrics are strikingly gorgeous, and your voice is just lovely. Wonderfully Refreshing

I recently met Marisa's father on a business trip. He was playing her CD in his car and as I strained to listen to the soothing music over the chatter of my co-workers, I wondered what artist was singing so beautifully. When Jim told me it was his daughter I was both shocked and impressed. Upon my first opportunity to listen to Marisa's entire CD I was very impressed. The more and more I listen to it the better I like it. Marisa derives her songs from personal, life and family experiences as well as through the quiet times spent with the Lord. Her song "Friend" carries the theme of discovering God’s purposes in the midst of suffering and trials. If you’re wondering if the songs all sound the same or carry the same message my answer to you would be no. Each song is unique in it’s own way. The songs on this CD have a theme within themselves. The themes range from motherly admiration to pursuing God and arriving at a resolution or finding peace in God. In Marisa's melodic voice you can hear her heart crying out, worshipping, straining to hear every word God has to offer. Buy this CD it's fantastic!
