Album Notes

Marissa O’Donnell, headliner for the 2005–2007 national tour of Annie, has consistently received rave reviews as “a real star” and “a mega-talented singer” with “a voice that will knock you straight into Tuesday.” Impressed by her talent, Art Halperin, veteran producer/musician/songwriter, invited Marissa to record her first solo CD on his label, Sword in the Stone Records.

The result of their collaboration is “Front Row Center,” a musical journey of hope and inspiration Marissa dedicated to her biggest fan, her late grandfather. Songs range from the heartrending title song and “Home Again” to the playful “A Cappella Song” and “Money, Money, Money” and are suitable for both the young and the young at heart.

REVIEWS

Beautiful songs, beautiful voice. I decided to buy this CD after seing Marissa playing Annie in Orange County last month. I'm so glad I got it. The whole family is enjoying it. The song "Tonight" makes me cry. I see my children all grown up in the future leaving for college. The message in "Universal Love" and "Sun Shines for All" is great, specially now, thank you Marissa! And the song "Home Again" really makes me appreciate even more what I saw on stage!

Wonderful CD!!!
author: Betsy Rossini
WONDERFUL! We bought this CD after seeing Marissa completely blow away the crowd singing the national anthem in Giants stadium. We've listened to it non-stop ever since we got it. The songs are original, the production is pristine and the singer is awesome. Marissa is very talented young girl with a crystal clear voice. Pick this up if you want a quality album through and through.

Excellent singing talent and well-thought-out material

I liked the CD very much and especially liked the original material. The artist remains true to herself and does not make the mistake of trying to imitate current singers who are popular but have less talent than she does. The best cut by far I think is the first one, "A Cappella Song." I found out about the CD because I am the former president of the international Annie fan club and am in "Life After Tomorrow," and I saw Marissa in "Annie" last winter in Connecticut. I hope this is the beginning of a good career in music for her. Jon Merrill, President Emeritus, "Annie People" Fan Club
