ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Fingerstyle guitarist living high in the Rocky Mountains, writing and composing original
"Music For The Head". Living here gives me great pleasure and inspiration to write and compose these songs straight from the heart. I don't really have the need to become rich and famous through my music. I've never had a lesson or have been taught to play music, it is something I was born with. Now it has grown into a " need to compose and write ". Without playing I feel a very big loss, it gives me much more than fame or money.

I have played in Rock n Roll bands, Country bands, Bluegrass and Folk bands. After so many years playing traditional music I find myself exploring the many aspects that a single acoustic guitar can give me. Through alternative tunings I find this loop hole that has let me expand my Music For The Head. To me there are't any laws in playing a musical instrument, play as you feel, play as you see fit.
Music is like the dawning of a new day, each day will give new inspirations. I credit many of my tunes to the early morning hours as I look out my window and see the sunrise.Music for the Head

Acoustic Labs

A superb collection of instrumentals!
To me, Mark's music is incredibly evocative of emotions and nature. It's a soundscape that
surrounds you and effects you and takes you somewhere comfortable and mysterious. The
guitar has been explored so thoroughly over the past couple centuries. Mark has found
uncharted territory and what he reveals to us is inspiring and beautiful.
